Spazi gustosi. Progetti per una nuova esperienza di alimentazione nei contesti scolastici
Food and Science Festival 2025
16 to 18 May 2025, Piazza Concordia, Mantua

On the occasion of the 2025 edition of the Food&Science Festival, Politecnico di Milano will, for the second consecutive year, present the results of the research developed within the OnFoods partnership, one of the key initiatives of the University's third mission. OnFoods is a network that brings together 26 universities, research centres and leading companies with the aim of coordinating and strengthening scientific research and sustainable innovation in food systems. This initiative is part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, supported by the EU's Next Generation programme.
During the event, OnFoods will be present with a stand located in the heart of the city of Mantua. This exhibition space will showcase the results of the collaborative work of a group of researchers and lecturers from the Faculties of Design and Industrial Chemistry and 37 international students from the Master of Interior and Spatial Design. Through ten innovative projects, the public will be invited to explore key questions such as What spaces can support food production, consumption and processing in universities? How can such spaces be integrated into university food policies? And how can the use of food packaging be reduced?
Models, drawings and interactive activities with visitors will offer ideas to promote sustainable behaviour in relation to the food ecosystem and the spaces that host it. Politecnico di Milano is committed to raising public awareness and stimulating dialogue on the importance of adopting innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
