Graduated with honors in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano, is an Associate Professor at the School of Design at Politecnico di Milano. Specializing in digital models for design, he has focused on studying techniques and methods for surface modeling, as well as in the fields of virtual prototyping and rendering applied to industrial design.
From 2005 to 2011, he was the head of the Virtual Prototyping Laboratory at Politecnico di Milano, directing its activities towards the issues and themes of representation disciplines, with particular attention to product design and interior design, including aspects related to Cultural Heritage. He has attended several advanced training courses on modeling, animation, and visual simulation techniques in Canada, Belgium, California, and France, and he is the author of numerous publications on digital models and traditional and digital representation in various application fields.
Since the 2014-2015, he has also been an adjunct professor in the Industrial Product Design programme at the University of Bologna.
During the 1990s, he worked as a consultant for training and the integration of digital modeling techniques in major European automotive design centers.
He designed and currently directs the Master in Transportation & Automobile Design at Politecnico di Milano, now in its eighth edition.
In 2015, he was a Visiting Professor at Stanford University, where he taught a course titled The Italian Way to Car Design.
