Lopomo Nicola Francesco

Associate Professor

He obtained a degree in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Bioengineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2003 and 2008, respectively.

From 2004 to 2015, he worked at the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Rizzoli, conducting research in Computer-Aided Surgery, clinical biomechanics, and biomaterials.

From 2015 to 2024, he was an Associate Professor of Bioengineering at the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Brescia, where he taught in undergraduate and graduate programs in engineering and medicine, focusing his research on the application of technologies in the clinical field.

In 2022, together with three colleagues, he founded inXense s.r.l., an innovative start-up dedicated to the development of "smart objects".

Since 2024, he has been a faculty member at the Department of Design at Politecnico di Milano.

He is the author of over 160 articles published in international journals and has been involved in several national and international projects aimed at designing, developing, and validating innovative technologies and methodologies in the field of personal health.
