DCC Prototipi e Allestimenti
The DCC Prototipi e Allestimenti was established by integrating the expertise and services of the Prototypes Lab and the Exhibit Lab. It is dedicated to the design, development, and testing of projects in the fields of product design, interior design, and exhibition design, supporting education, research, and technology transfer.
The laboratory provides an environment where students, researchers, and external partners can develop models, prototypes, installations, and spatial design projects, working on applications that range from residential, commercial, exhibition, and workplace environments to mobility systems and artistic contexts. By combining craftsmanship with advanced prototyping technologies, the DCC Prototipi e Allestimenti provides the tools and expertise to support the entire development process, from experimentation to final production.
Modelling and prototyping
- Large area equipped with workstations, including professor and video projection stations
- Space for full-scale reconstructions (10x10x7 m)
- Overhead crane for lifting up to 2.5 T
- Hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery (disk and belt sanders, belt saws, drill press)
