Trame Locali
Sustainable and Narrative Pathways of Basso Monferrato
November 18, 2025, at 6 PM, Circolo del Design, Via San Francesco da Paola 17, Turin
The Circolo del Design hosts the exhibition Trame Locali, a research project coordinated by the Polimi DESIS Lab of the Department of Design of Politecnico di Milano, in partnership with Ideazione srl and in collaboration with the Municipalities of Albugnano and Cocconato (Asti).
Trame Locali combines participatory design, anthropology, and storytelling to explore new models for the regeneration of intangible heritage and the communities of Italy’s inland areas. The project operates in the Basso Monferrato Astigiano region, aiming to co-design a shared itinerary that gathers and represents memories, emotions, and desires tied to the places and the people who care for them.
The itinerary unfolds through cultural spaces and key community sites, offering an alternative narrative of the territory through audiovisual works, physical and digital touchpoints, and accessible, immersive tourism experiences. The project promotes a participatory approach that restores local identity in its ongoing evolution and experiments with collaborative governance models for the enhancement of intangible heritage.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on Tuesday, November 18, at 6:00 PM at Circolo del Design in Turin, with the following program:
