Identitalia, The Iconic Italian Brands

The exhibition of Made in Italy excellence arrives in Venice Mestre

From September 27 to February 5, 2025, M9 - Museum of the 20th Century, Venice Mestre

Telling the story of the heritage represented by over one hundred brands that have shaped Italy’s visual and material culture. With this goal, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy and the Italian Patent and Trademark Office have welcomed the opportunity for M9 – Museum of the 20th Century in Venice Mestre to host the exhibition “Identitalia, The Iconic Italian Brands”, which will be inaugurated on Friday, September 26 at 4:00 PM.

The exhibition – promoted by MIMIT and UIBM, in collaboration with Unioncamere and the Historic Italian Brands Association, and already presented last year at Palazzo Piacentini, the headquarters of the Ministry – will feature the participation of Minister Adolfo Urso, Mayor of Venice Luigi Brugnaro, President of the Venice Foundation Vincenzo Marinese, Vice President of the Venice and Rovigo Chamber of Commerce Roberto Bottan, Deputy Vice President of the Historic Brands Association Armando De Nigris, and representatives of the featured brands.

Curated by Professors Francesco Zurlo from the Department of Design of Politecnico di Milano and Carlo Martino from La Sapienza University of Rome, the exhibition celebrates some of the finest examples of Made in Italy through a visual journey composed of original sketches, representative pieces, photographs, historical documents, advertising posters, and screenings of commercials and videos.

Identitalia will be open to visitors from September 27 to February 15, at M9 – Museum of the 20th Century in Venice Mestre.
