January 27, 2026, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm, Aula De Carli, Campus Bovisa Durando
The event marks the launch of the flagship course dedicated to AI and Design at Politecnico di Milano. The morning will explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping design practice, evolving from a mere support technology into a new design material and a potential creative partner.
The program weaves together technical and socio-cultural foundations, design practice, and broader ethical questions. Through contributions from researchers, designers, philosophers, and industry professionals, the session will offer an opportunity to discuss not only what AI can do in design, but how it transforms the very ways in which we design, make decisions, attribute value, and generate creativity. The session will conclude with an open Q&A aimed at fostering a critical and interdisciplinary discussion on the future of design within a co-performative ecosystem of humans and machines.
